Changed out the Biarritz trans wiring loom over the weekend, in addition to a new genuine filter, gasket, and Penrite ATF FS fluid (LT71141 compatible) Went on a Club run up highway 22 yesterday and can report transmission is happy, as is the rest of the car, and owner

Whole-heartedly agree. I have two weekend cars and neither see a drop of rain... Hell, I even hate my DD getting wet lol

Had one of them on SH2 around Napier this morning. Complete with one even narrower space saver type rear wheel. 80km/h, max. And right hand lane through every roundabout. 🤬🤬🤬

A Prius on the open road would be a close match for the Tiida.

Above two posts remind me of Nissan Tiida drivers. Find anther car steered by as many braindead incompetent retards. You wont.

Brake calipers off, ride height sensors, ABS sensors, lower shock bolts all out, one side down, one to go. I think the exhaust is going to be the biggest hassle as it is one piece from the muffler to the turbo!

@Kees Having been an admin for years on another car forum I learnt that you can't please everyone all the time and everyone has an opinion. Like others I ended up on here as I was looking for a great local community before I committed to buying the dad wagon, I can see merit in both sides of this story. I would hasten to add that we shouldn't point fingers here, Mike while obviously very experienced had quite staunch views that would on occasion be released like a 2x4 to the head. One of the things that gave me the confidence to move into BMW ownership was the supportive environment offered by Bimmersport members, we don't have to agree on everything but there is a basic level of respect we have for others that shouldn't result in admin being put into a position like this and a long time member leaving. Guaranteed that no one has won out of this, the community has lost a valuable resource and like everything that becomes political people start to question the leadership - don't forget that the majority of car forums / clubs are run by people volunteering their time and resources - it can be a thankless job.

This Auckland place sounds like a shithole, I must be living on the right side of the bridge. Closer to the Equator too 😃

G'day, Selling my 2004 Facelift 330ci M sport. DDY480 VIN: WBABD52020PM09452 Lots of good options, too many to list. 137000kms on the clock. Very unique colour combo and interior trim and it's come off a production line in Germany. Previous owner owned it for 10 years and has a service stamp from BMW Germany (was apparently used as a display car). I have owned it since August last year but unfortunately I have to sell it as I am moving to Australia in May and I will be unable to take the car with me (need to own it for a year at least). The car is in good mechanical condition minus a couple of small bits - Left front headlight washer has a leak (very common issue). Right front Fog light has a crack - I have a replacement fog light available which I will include in the sale. Right rear bump stop is worn. Cosmetically - the bonnet is faded, front bumper has a few stone chips and theres a small dent most likely from a supermarket trolley or a tow bar ball. Rear window outer rubber trim needs replacing ( I have the replacement trim available and included in the sale). I serviced the car myself in September last year (Liqui Moly oil, oil filter and cabin air filter change). I also installed a K&N panel filter. Comes with two keys and service books. I am asking $8000 firm for bimmersport members. SMS me on 021 1804565 or send me a pm on this forum.

It's just such weird decision-making on many levels. I mean if you own that sort of car nowadays, surely it's not the only car you own, or a daily driver. Why would you decide to roll your pride and joy out of the garage on a day like that!?

Haha thats the quintessential Prius move. Where I live the Prius Ubers patrol the streets prowling at a solid 30km/h in a 50km/h zone, making spastic stops and turns with no indicators. But if you hold up a Prius for more than 0.01 seconds at the lights they will beep at you. Priuses do my head in.

I’m sure I’ve seen that around, looks nice, good luck with the sale.

got some tech in your back pocket? take us back to London Aug/Sept 2001, and I could sell you my '89 Alpinweiss 325i Touring (manual). Double my sell price still leaves you with change from GBP5000, sound good?

Just wrench on them hard, as a Subaru owner I've followed this process many times and never had any problems with broken turbo studs..... I'm always impressed with your dedication to keeping these cars on the road.

Slow drivers in the outside lane approaching a roundabout, who hang back because overtaking a truck on the roundabout would be too dangerous, and then don't accelerate off the roundabout, trundling gently along behind the truck because they might not make the pass in the two lane space available...

Here I was, wanting to rant about slow drivers on the fast lane. I think I’ll just come back another day.

definitely good purchase. as for the m adaptive suspension, an option you can look at is the bilstein b8 damptronic shocks they are plug and play and will just outright work with bmw's factory connectors and sensors

The pictures do not do it justice. Someone is going to get very lucky with this car. Was a pleasure seeing it in person.

Hi Edward, Very nice! I bought the sibling to yours in the middle of last year. For reference, the wheels are off the gen 2 Z4M.

He wasn't dragged out of his car. It sounds like he may have got out and confronted them. He may have been the instigator? We don't know the full facts yet. https://www.police.govt.nz/news/release/update-operation-rangiriri-serious-assault-waikato-expressway?nondesktop

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gish_gallop Happy to continue the discussion if you can stay on topic. I've provided links to prove the boy racer 'milk' incident resulted in an arrest. I've provided links that prove the police are tackling organized crime. I'm sure the other shooting / assultcases etc you've thrown out will be resolved too. By then your attention will most likely be on the next outrage.

Wish I'd done this on the plug i have already wired up ... maybe I'll de-pin the whole thing at some point and deal to it. Anyhow, here is what i will be doing for the 'secondary' plug for the remainder of the ECU wiring. Cost effective solution for tidy wiring labels !! Sheet of laser print stickers plus clear heat shrink

Finally fixed one of the more worrying previous repairs carried out on the old girl, at some stage someone had damaged the section of the drivers door card that covers the airbag, and decided to turn it into a home made Claymore mine by repairing it with a good solid layer of Araldite! I shudder to think what this would have done to me if the airbag had ever deployed!! As you can see there is some silicone in there as well, just in case. Replaced with a good door card from Pick a part, unfortunately it was from an electric seat car so it has the memory buttons which mine has no need for ( manual leather heated seats for the win) so I will keep an eye out for a correct replacement, but in the meantime this one won't cut me in half if the worst happens!

Finally road legal!! Well, once the RUC and rego labels arrive! Next mission is to straighten a slightly buckled style 66 wheel and get some tyres on them, was going to do a full refurb but I kinda like the idea of rough looking wheels on a rough looking car for now. Will get an alignment once new feet are on. Also need to install wiring for power to the car trailer, and install 50mm towball. Then rear subframe bushes and suspension arms. Then trans filter and gasket and new fluid again. Then....

Changed from Miles to Km in the "system", fairly painless, told Vtnz what I needed and they made the phone call and sorted it, 5 minutes later went online and bought RUCs in Km, now just fingers crossed for the WOF!! 😉
