  1. Depends on the person i suppose, none of the E46 and E39's ive used PS4's were technically sports cars but having more grip is always an advantage to me especially if you have make an emergency maneuver in the wet etc. Certainly better street rubber available that costs even more and i think PS4 are fairly well priced in comparision.
  2. Self proclaimed expert here is clearly yourself. Ive never claimed to be expert so you are just making assumptions about me over the internet. Ive been been ordering and fitting solely BMW parts for over a decade, so of course I'm going to question when some random business tries to sell some unknown offering with zero info and blind trust. If 30 years of experience means you can't answer a simple question without getting offended then that's on you.
  3. Still haven't said who makes it so why would anyone take your word and buy a unknown product just because its a little cheaper?. Its common knowledge some aftermarket filters have qaulity issues. If you actually viewed the link you would see that it is a filter kit with a known quality gaskets and new plugs, the filter itself is $50 NZD (it you can get it for that then awesome) I don't sell parts i fit them for a living. We buy all sorts of parts off known reputable companies with actual warranties and not random internet shills.
  4. Hankook are a well known brand but generally not top tier. Depends on your budget but id recommend Michellin PS4's from Hyper, RE003 or S007A(if available) from Bridgestone
  5. Why doesn't the key work? You should be able to manually turn it 45 degrees anti clockwise to unlock.
  6. As above the engine in your car is known to be problematic. Many owner discover this expensive way unfortunately because of buying first and asking questions later. GL with it
  7. Yeah but what brand is it?. I can get cheap ones thru work also but there is no way id risk using one for a job like this. $100 is cheap insurance.
  8. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-auto-trans-filter-kit-zf-24152333915 The gasket works fine. I use a light coat of RTV to keep it attached to the pan when installing so it doesn't move

Something has to be done differently going by its terrible past.
  10. In the worst case scenario you'd certainly be off getting a new engine or even a new car depends on whats yours is like. As you probably know most of these cars aren't worth very much these days, so if you going to sink some coin into one it should one that's in reasonably good condition and spec from the start.
  11. Id get the ZF kit as its cheap enough ( eg $170 NZD shipped from FCP) and wont give you any problems.
  12. Try connect another 12v car battery source to it via jumper leads and leave it for 1hr to give it some surface charge before charging
  13. Also oil may have dripped onto the manifold when you did the job, which would smoke for awhile once warmed up
  14. I'm not sure why you think it's the headgasket?. If you had just done the valve cover then you may not of sealed it correctly or parts are bad and it has leaked.
  15. You could give Kerry at Mosen Euro a ring tomorrow. He was wrecking one 545i and i think he still has most of the car.
  16. Clearly Mike doesn't know the E28 and E24 M5 came out before the E30 M3.
  17. I remember when slapping an M badge in front of the model was something plebs did, still looks just as terrible.

Nice. It reminds me of my old E30, it was running a tech2 rear spoiler with the same RS's in 15x7 15x8 and T1R's
  19. ET 15 so yes. Bear in mind non sh*t tyres are going cost noticeably more.
  20. Try again Wouldn't trust NordVPN after the way they dealt with being hacked
  21. Ive got a sealed one from 2013 if anyone wants it
