9 points***SOLD*** After a fair bit of deliberating and inspiration from @Sammo's great listing, it's time to put my E46 330i MSport Touring is up for sale. Currently sitting at 248,XXXkm. This has been my daily driver for the past four years and in that time it has been a super reliable workhorse. I recently purchased an F11 and after having both in the fleet for the past few months I unfortunately can’t justify keeping both. So... The good: NZ New with detailed service history - Understood to be 1 of 4 NZ New examples in this spec. I have owned the car from 206,XXXkm (December 2017) and in that time all servicing has been completed by Auckland City BMW and Burger Motor Works at 10,000km/annual intervals. I have all service invoices from my ownership, plus a bunch of service invoices prior. Under my ownership the main items replaced include: Full cooling system (radiator, water pump, hoses, clutch fan etc) Valve cover gasket Steering coupler Koni dampening adjustable shocks Diff bushes Driveshaft universal joint Front control arms and bushes Gearbox service (oil and filter) Brake rotors and pads front and rear Vanos line and various seals. Airbag recall done by Auckland City BMW. BMW Style 350M wheels with near new Michelin Pilot Sport 4’s on rear (replaced June this year, circa 2,500km ago), front PS4’s have circa 5mm tread remaining. The suspension refresh, new steering coupler, together with the wider wheels and PS4’s makes for an excellent handling and “tight” tourer. Three keys –All three batteries were professionally replaced this year and the remotes are fully functioning. BMW Business CD head unit with cable aux input. Originally the car came with the BMW tape deck unit which I still have if wanted. Small items replaced recently include bonnet struts, boot struts, rear wiper blade, brighter Philips headlight bulbs (both low and high beam), side indicators, window regulators etc. BMW service and ownership booklets provided. The not so good: Minor leak from the sump gasket. Only really noticeable if the car is parked up for a few weeks without use. Usual door marks and stone chips, slight paint crack on lower area on front bumper, marks on RHS door. Otherwise for a 20 year old and almost 250,000km car, the panel and paint is in reasonable order but by no means perfect. The car has been garaged my entire ownership. Best viewed in person to get full understanding of the overall condition. LHS front wheel has some curbing. Engine is a little rumbly on initial cold start in the cooler winter months if left to idle and not driven off. Clears itself and runs beautifully once engine is put under load. This 'quirk' has never bothered me, however I did get it checked out by Auckland City BMW for peace of mind. The car will be sold with a new WOF which has been booked in for next week. The next 10,000km service is due at 250,600km. Sad to see this go but it would be great to pass on to someone else in the BS community who will hopefully enjoy this wagon as much as I have. Asking price - $9,600. Viewings on North Shore, Auckland.

3 pointsMate, honestly, whilst it probably is a very fair asking price, in this silly age where all these turnips are asking similar money for their neglected, high k's E36's, I'd be holding out for more. Has to be one of a kind in the country and sure to be worth double in 10 years' time, if not sooner. Will definitely miss drooling over this beauty, hope she goes to a good home. Best of luck whatever you end up doing ✌️

2 pointsE30 Blower fan and replaced the heater core and matrix that blow up last summer. Was a bit of a job but well worth it to have my blower back and heater system ... oh and a running car with no coolant leaking into the cabin was a bonus too.
-
2 pointsNot mine but a customer of mine will be selling this nice one tidy and with a few nice tasteful upgrades etc probably in the 20k plus price range

2 pointsHey Team Hope every one is well and ready for the silly season. Small update but a good one. Finally got my oil pump setup back from the turning shop. I had to source two n62 front oil shaft supporters to hold the new longer shaft in place. the X5 pump now bolts right up the back. Also had to get a spacer made for the pick up to be able to rotate it inwards. Next step is to get my engineer to help fab up the new sump and oil feed lines. Also got my exhaust flanges cut, Brought a lego kit to help aid in making the headers myself and brought all the 180 bends ready to go for over the summer. As i was originally was going to use a steering shaft from a e87/e90 when i was at the wreakers i noticed that the F series have even a slimmer one. so i took the plunge and brought two. After some test fitting the base U-joint are the same spline as the e46, the top needs to be swapped with the e46 one and the total length was shorten by 20-25mm which now matches the factory e46 length. I will use one for the v8 swap and one for the v12 swap. Now the main part is back ( the oil pump) i can get the ball rolling again. Thanks Team

1 pointDownloaded and flashed my MHD 1+ tuned E91 with XHPs newly released dragy mode for 6hp transmissions, partnered with a refresh of stage 2 XHP trans tune. Have had couple of days to drive and settle everything in, just back now after a few spirited runs. Wow! So much more response in sport/ manual mode and stock smooth like in D. 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th shifts at around 5500 rpms are so fast and seamless, almost seems like one continuous ratio! Way way more pull, feels like this is what was missing at this power level, no dips at all, very smooth up and down in manual and sports mode. Any one else had a look?

1 pointHi all It seems now isn't the time to sell an M135i - so I'm not putting mine on Trade Me (or anywhere else) until the new year some time. That said, I have no need for an extra car so if anyone here wants it, you can have it for $21k - and I'll chuck in a couple of bimmersport.co.nz stickers you may or may not want to put on the car (or elsewhere lol). I have a couple of people keen but unable to get the funds together immediately so if one of them does so then it'll be gone; will update this post when/if that happens. Car has a decent BMW service history in iDrive and presents/drives well... especially for this kind of price. No, it's not the best one for sale - but looking at Trade Me it isn't the worst either. Get yourself a bargain. Here's the spec details: https://www.mdecoder.com/decode/wba1b720x0j777037

1 pointLachs = Salmon. Like Salmon, looks very different in changing light. 'liquid mercury' - exactly! I'm not biased, quite possibly the best of the silvers/greys. It goes with my hair, anyway! 😁

1 pointLooks great as always, shame you're having to sell it !! Forgot the M3 mirrors in the details ? Wish I could magic all of the interior and nice bits over to my car !! I'll hit your auction up and ask for the parts i want haha.
-
1 pointHuzzah I've completed my scale model of the large colon !! The last tube will unfortunately need a tweak as I had to improvise a little when building it up (only one of the six) and its interfering with a bolt head from the starter motor 😕 It fits if I take the bolt out ... maybe i can weld the starter to the block I managed to crack the secret code of twists and turns needed to get them installed as well which is good news but a little nerve wracking !

1 pointThis absolute cracker was just listed, making this white one seem a little pedestrian? https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/3371816602?bof=X3PdX3Kv
-
1 pointTrue but i suppose it depends on how much the 'ish mean to you. 10-15k i would expect i could get nearly everything at least average condition.
-
1 pointI wouldn't even take one if someone gave me one for free. Well I would.. but only to sell haha

1 pointI dont need anything to back up an opinion but I do have a rational; that the $10k+ and 20k+ for the older M30 block in the E34 is overpriced. Sure, 3 to 10k maybe fine, have at it. I've had the M30 and have had the M60 and the M50 (and soon an M54) in the E28 and many, many E34s. I grew up with E34s in my family. The M60 is simply a beautiful engine, in power delivery, smoothness (even though its a V8) and sounds good too. The M50 is just a nice overall engine, a huge quality of living increase over the really old M30. The 535i "shitting all over the M50" (I never mentioned the M20, equally archaic, not sure why you mention it? ) I presume you mean in terms of torque and power? Yeah, sure, but in practice the lightness and comparative freshness of the M50 in a 525i is nicely matched in the E34. Its a more modern engine for a more modern BMW. But I don't really care, I'm not a major fan of the M50, its just a sweet spot overall. A well setup M50 e34 is a nice handling, driving car. The M30 is fine, but I've never been enamoured with it. I think the peak E34 is the 540i and I think the M30 has a lot of respect/fan service but IMO is overrated. I also think most of the 540's here have been ruined by idiots but that's beside the point, in stock form it was excellent. I don't think the M30 535i is bad, I just dont think it compares that well to the V8 for similar prices. Being "designed in the same decade" doesnt really make cars similar, at all. Have you driven an E28? I have one, but christ its basic. The E34 is nothing at all like that. I also don't think the statement is even correct, given the E34 was developed from '81 and launched in '88.. the E28 is a 70's design (with a mild refresh in the early 80s, kinda) with similar'ish suspension but inferior and older.. so Im not really sure what you are on about there.

1 pointSurprised at the lack of love for the e9x 325/330/335! I guess it goes to show how compelling the other options are at this price point
-
1 pointAll cars mentioned in this thread would likely need money spent of them to varying degrees.

1 pointHey team hope every one is well and ready for the silly season. So got a few more things done to the wagon. Car is finally up and running now though not without a few little issues. Exhaust leak, rear adjustables rebound need to be wound up to make it stiffer, wheel alignment, smaller mid muffler to be welded in as current one is a tad low, change rear seal in the gearbox and get some tyres for the Hamman wheels. Painted the exhaust and baked it in the oven. Changed out the factory twin fuel filters and put a single one in with a regulator and ran a vaccum line up to the manifold. Custom clutch and flywheel installed. Exactly the same setup as the manual swapped X5. Running my spare LSD 3.15 till my LSD 3.64 gets back from Kayne Barrie getting a rebuild. Driveshaft made to length. Tack welded the nuts in tunnel so i could bolt down the RTD shifter without needing someone to hold the nuts for me. Brought this ultra racing Strut brace cheap, it was made for a 525i model. I cut the bar off the hinges and flipped it, rewelded it to make it work with the 540i The Factory mid muffler was rusting and had a small hole, so decided to redo the whole exhaust from the new headers back. Redid the o2 sensor bungs too. But after lowering the car found the mid muffler sits too low so will change out for a smaller one. Fitted the new Zimmermann sports brakes and pads in and flushed the brake system with new fluid. Just arrived a couple days ago this M5 rep center console surround. .Will be running these wheels on the car. 18 x 8.5 fronts 18 x 9.5 rears will get a exhaust clip onces its fully running good. Thanks Team

1 pointhttps://www.trademe.co.nz/3364704877 Mine 🤣🤣 Jesting aside, I find these 130i models an absolute steal. Performance, looks, sound 😍 Not as fast as the 135/335 models but fewer things to go wrong.

1 pointJust about anything provides better value with current E30 pricing. One could argue a E34 535is is better value for money than the E28. Like E36 vs E46 they are very similar in most regards.
-
1 pointHaving owned a couple of M325i's I would take the E28 over one any day. Superior vehicle. Nearly as good as the E34.
