3 pointsJust cleaned 22 years worth of shite out of the egr valve, seems to still be working, I will hook it up to some vacuum tomorrow to make sure the diaphragm is intact, chuck a new vacuum hose on it and it can go back in. Also found the diesel leak, inlet hose to the high pressure pump, so will sort that before the manifold goes back on, slow but good progress!

2 points@Olaf that color is bloody Amazing Just hope I can get it in something other than a DELTRON brand because it's $200 per litre plus gst for that colour code
-
2 points@Olaf yeah, the non variant one was nice just more or a standard graphite, I had a suspicion there was one out there with a blue pearl in if @Driftit was right and I reckon that might be the colour. Going to slap it on a quarter panel and make the call haha. Obsession is real

2 pointsBecause they are cooler than an e46. I agree they should not be worth that much, but interest in them has really seem to have sky rocketed lately. Seem to be going the way of the e30s.

2 pointsIf it hasnt been registered weird stuff can happen, as it predicts the batteries performance. Could 100% be causing the fault, ive even seen a fire apparently caused by not registering a battery(!!) Most of the OBD2 apps can do it, must be someone in Welly you can hit up. Failing that a BMW independent workshop will be able to do it in about 2 minutes.
-
2 points$20 for a test 100ml It will eat away at me not knowing. Thats the variant of it with blue pearl. @Driftit you may be onto something with the first call on sparkling graphite.

2 pointsWould love to get a good 325i manual coupe at some point in the next year or so as a 'forever car' to restomod... guess I would be looking at $15k plus and a chunk of change for sorting it properly...

1 pointyeah I know lockdowns over but Prince's estate released this unseen concert New Years Eve, the first from Paisley Park ever where he lived and later died as part of a big box set thing of SOOT. For those that remember 87 fondly its worth a watch

1 pointSO I accidentally a ActiveHybrid 5 last night, Ex-Japan, Cream interior , Now, to somehow collect it from Palmy....

1 pointThat was cool! I've been exposed to the costs of setting up very basic levels of automated QC and it amazes me that they can make money after the huge amount of resources put into setting these factories up.

1 pointHad some time to drive part of the route...didn't have enough to to go all the way around, but was some lovely driving, great views and some nice twisty bits! I find it laughable the speed limit on the motorway is 100 but you can legally drive 100 for most of the roads on this route

1 pointSorry thought it was the Yellow car. Which looked mint. I just sold a very tidy e36 Coupe 328i (Jap Import) for around 8k and to be fair probably could have sold it 3 times over as I had a lot of interest. E36s are not hard to find but truly tidy cars with service history are far harder to find. I have taken an interest in E36 prices specifically 328i Coupes and A tidy NZ new car that is well maintained and has not been messed with is now a collectable car. The E30 tax will start applying to E36's in a few years, you can bet on that.
-
1 pointIts seems they are either quite slack or far too over the top, it would be nice to have more consistency. I have been using Continental BMW and they do a great job on WOFs.
-
1 pointHow about an N52k E30. Should honk along. Probably easier to find a good motor too.

1 point@modz might be nearly done with his build and I *think* he is selling it after? I think he was putting in an M54b30 iirc.. and its a coupe
-
1 pointyeah man, same car! She was beaut too. I maintained it for my mate the last few years. A lot had been done to get it up to a better than average standard
-
1 point@BMTHUG Nice, think I might have seen that on FB / Trade Me - nice looking dark sedan listed for $15k?
-
1 pointA mate of mine just sold a 4 door 325i manual for close to 15k. tech 2 sedan but the kit was added
-
1 point@E30 325i Rag-Top yeah, just about better off buying an auto or 4cyl and slapping an M50 in it... Will keep saving my pocket money and sweet talking the wife ?
-
1 pointThere was a E30 325i ‘vert on TradeMe for $34k the other week, but I can’t find it now. There are still some reasonable buys to be had, but at $15k for a 325i manual coupe you would probably be looking at some work to be done.

1 pointIt can only be done with a scan tool or laptop with diagnostic software on it, like ISTA or INPA. If you have one of these cars it's a good idea to have at least one of these, preferably ISTA as it's what the dealers use. If you're not DIY inclined I'm sure your mechanic could do it for you.
-
1 pointI owned this car from 2007-2013 as a factory/all original 328i under UQ8500 and did c.250,000 kms in it over that period. It was a great car, I really miss it at times.

1 pointSo much E39 msport availability these days. No better luxury sport sedan on the planet for the price, nothing comes even close.

1 pointTwas a beautiful day to be barrelling up the Desert Road, with Mt Ruapehu in sight. clear as. back in AKL by dinner after lunch with rellys in the Tron. total consumption of 98= 48 litres. and 560kms... not too bad for what it is, I guess. probably got pinged by a MCR van somewhere in Taupo. a very dangerous weapon

1 pointWe're lucky to have NPD in the South island. 100 RON and it's cheaper than BP's 98. Can only hope they expand to the north island.

1 pointWhat an awesome little car - attainable and real world exploitable weekend warrior IMO. Wheels maybe a size too large but nice OEM+ style upgrades.

1 pointThe Last Dance... Jackson, Winter, MJ, Scottie, Rodman, Harper, Kukoc, Kerr, Longley, etc = G. (T).O.A.T and MJ = G.O.A.T! ?
-
0 pointsJust daydreaming at this point but an M54 E30 would be amazing
-
0 pointsAnd to think I sold it for $10k with the S50B30 in it! Biggest regret of my vehicle ownership history.
-
